Сraned railway vehicle MPT-4 (1999, 2000, 2008 year of manufacture - from the reserve, without mileage and running hours. And a new one)
MPT-4 railway vehicles is fully self-propelled. The control cabin is mounted on the front end of the vehicle frame and there is a cargo lifting crane placed on top of it. YaMZ-238 B-33 diesel engine is installed on the rear end of the frame. Tongue is transmitted via belt-drive to the 3-phase alternator and via hydro-mechanical transmission to cardan shafts and air-compressor. Torque from cardan shafts is further transmitted to the axle gear boxes of wheel-sets.
The vehicle is designed for loading, unloading of goods; transport of goods on own and trailed platform; transportation of working brigades to the place of work; carry out shunting works at station roads; welding in field conditions; use as a head machine in the complex current maintenance of track.
It is equipped with a 5-ton lifting crane (with a hook and rail grabs), diesel engine, radio station, cabin heater, welding unit.
