Tour Itinerary
Day 1: – Ahmedabad-Dwarka (430km/8Hours)
Arrive in Ahmedabad to a warm welcome by Namaste India Trip tour representative who escorts you to the waiting coach that will take you on the 8 hours overnight drive to Dwarka. Check into hotel in the morning.
Day 2: – Dwarka Sightseeing
Breakfast on typical Saurashtra fare. Set out for a day-long sightseeing tour. First off we visit Dwarkadheesh Temple. Next is Rukmini temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna’s Wife. Then it is a brief visit to Bet Dwarka also known as Shankoddar, an island off the Saurashtra coast. Then visit Ranchodrai temple and the Matsya Avatar Temple followed by the Nageshwar temple, one of the 12 jyotirlingas in India. Day ends. Retire for the night to your comfortable room.
Day 3: – Dwarka-Porbandar-Somnath (234Km/4Hours)
Morning breakfast over ghee group boards the coach for the 234 km drive to Somnath that will take 4 hours. However, the drive is punctuated by stops at Tara Mandir Planetarium and then stop at Porbandar to visit Kirti Mandir, home of Mahatma Gandhi followed by a visit to the temple of Sudama, Lord Krishna’s friend, and devotee and then take a brief walk along the Chowpatty beach to view the Huzoor Mahal. Day 4: – Somnath-Rajkot (225Km)
After breakfast, everyone gets on board the coach for the 225 km drive to Rajkot, punctuated by stops at Junagadh and Gondal, all princely cities of Saurashtra. In Junagadh group visits Uparkot Fort, within whose precincts you will find Adi Kadi Vav, a stepwell, the Buddhist Caves and Navghan Kuvo or well. Day 5: – Rajkot-Lothal-Dakor-Ahmedabad
A typical Kathiawari breakfast over, you board the coach for the drive to Ahmedabad. The first stop on the way is at Lothal, an ancient historic site that was home to a flourishing Harappan civilization about 4500 years ago. View the artifacts in the Museum here and then proceed to Dakor, visited by lakhs of pilgrims traveling by foot to the Shree Ranchhodraiji temple here.
