Infosys’s Americas head and global manufacturing chief, Ashok Vemuri has resigned from his services. He was widely considered a contender to succeed chief executive S.D. Shibulal, another of the company's seven co-founders, when his term ends in mid-2015. As per a statement by Infosys, Ashok Vemuri, who spent the last 15 years at Infosys and was a member of the Board, would be replaced by Sanjay Jalona, at present the regional head for manufacturing in North America on September 12.
